About

My research interests focus on translation. I hold a Master’s degree in applied linguistics from the University of Warsaw and a PhD in psychology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. After finishing my studies in applied linguistics I worked as a freelance translator for several years, before my curiosity about cognitive processes involved in translation made me start on a PhD program in psychology. In my PhD thesis I investigated strategies activated in the process of written translation and I verified a theoretical model of this process. Working as a postdoc at ITU, I intend to apply my knowledge to the field of natural language processing.
